I am an artist working in assemblage and mixed media.

I transform discarded bits from daily life-
scuffed baby shoe, beaver gnawed stick, rusted saw blade, worn button, shredded tire, faded wedding dress, and lost key- into sculpture, nests, and memorial baskets.

As I weave together the recycled and found objects, a story unfolds reminding the viewer of moments of humor and wonder in daily life.

"Like nests, these works reclaim stuff that has passed its useful life and renew it into something of greater order...they have a kind of totemic magic: rich with symbol and mystery."
